I have a new (clone) radiator, new water pump, and a new thermostat on my 89 Vanagon. I assume I followed all the instructions in the Bentley book to bleed it. The temperature gauge is still showing higher than normal temperature. Page 19.16 refers to a bleeder in the engine compartment; the picture is too dark, I can't find it. Is it the same as the breather valve on the top of the thermostat housing? Can anyone guide me to successfully bring down the temperature?
