One more coffee solution... I use a drip filter which is made to fit onto a plastic carafe with a Thermos-type glass interior. It is made in Sweden by Hammarplast. Biggest advantage: coffee stays hot, hot, hot and tastes really good! Biggest disadvantage: there are three separate pieces to tote around: a pot or coffee pot (to heat the water), the drip unit, and the carafe. But here's a bonus: it doubles as a serving carafe for that alternate pot of decaf when you are entertaining in the home in the off-season. I have had mine rattling around in vans since 1992 and it still looks like new. Melissa Mourkas Haydenville, MA 81 Westy 'Hildie'
