Something plastic, to which my large horizontal coolant hose attaches, on
the drivers-side, front of the engine, broke today. I think it's the
"thermostat housing" although my local parts supplier disagrees. I will
remove it from the carcass tomorrow, and find the part number....

Anyone have one of these off an old engine? Anyone have one of these
brand new? This is our only vehicle, and we'll have to mooch my
father-in-law's Lincoln (darn) until it's replaced.

BTW, it's rather largish, has numerous hoses sticking out of it, attaches
directly to the engine.
