Dear Joe and others on the list,

I gave up on my Dometic and installed a "newer generation" Norcold 3163 from a Eurovan/Rialta (requiring a custom-designed cabinet). This fridge is great! I even "tweaked" it further by adding TWO exterior muffin fans, larger vent, digital interior thermometer, and 12v interior micro fan. I too rarely need to put this Fridge on "max" -- especially at night. One can EASILY achieve 28F degree temps during the summer! You can see pix of the custom installation on my site (URL below).
