Hello everyone,

I know that I risk inflaming tempers but here goes.  I am sure that a
lot of this has been previously addressed and is in the archives, but I
can't seem to get to the archives, can anyone help?  I have just joined
the list and am in the process of purchasing a Vanagon.  So here are my
questions.  Is one model year, and or model, better to buy than
another?  I am interested in upgrading the power, what is a tried and
true choice, (I have seen a couple of articles with a golf motor swap)?
Any other thoughts and or suggestions are welcome.
