I have a 1984 Wolfsburg (sp?) Westfalia GL and because it was a year
ahead on many of the 1985 Vanagon changes I was wondering if this antenna
will fit mine?

mine is mounted just in front of the front windshield at the drivers
side.  I telescopes and I have to use a phillips head screw to lock it in
place.  It wobbles a little but lock-tite is what I was planning to use
during my spring maintenance.  Though it is a little rusted, it seems to
works fine.  It worked better with the original VW radio than it does
with a Sony CD player/AM/FM unit. I really think the VW radio tuner was
awesome, it pulled in ststions from all over the east.
