I have seen it suggested that at least three different tire sizes will
"fit" on a Vanagon (mine's an '80).

27x8.50R14
195/75R14
185 something or other (the one listed in Bentley)

Will all of these really work?

What are the advantages/disadvantages of running non "stock" sizes?
