Subject:Fw: Dometic Question

Yes, the combustion chamber is meant to be sealed. This is straight from the
horse's mouth (Dometic technical support, I called them). My combustion
chamber had four holes drilled into the bottom by some qualified (?) service
technician during a previous service call sometime in the past. I also found
three flat metal washers sitting in the bottom of the chamber! Needless to
say, I will be doing the service myself, henceforth! Servicing the fridge is
not that difficult.

If you can't locate the clear plastic cylinder for the sight hole, simply
seal the hole in the fridge to prevent cold air from escaping because the
sight hole doesn't work that well anyway. It's no big loss and won't affect
the propane operation.
