All this stuff on conversions lately.. We all know that the VW inline 4 fits
nice in the back of Vanagons. An Audi V8 is just 2 4 cylinder engines (16v heads
too) stuck together. Sure American V8's are lots cheaper but few are as light as
the Audi and hey, keep it original.

Have any Vanagon crazies from Europe done this?
