Well Im not sure bout one of your problems but I'd stop useing the premium
fuel.  Yes it is good at times but I've found it makes your van run very hot,
especially in the summer time your fan is always on.  If you read your manuel
by vw it tells you the highest grade rateing they say to put inside of you
van.  Just my input though
