I've set up a couple of Westy fridges and they work ok, just not cold enough when it's 95 out. I now use a chest fridge and it keeps things nice & cold, not as handy to get your food out tho. Nice to actually be able to freeze some items including Klondike bars in most any weather. With a 200 A/H battery in the drop down tray you can go 5 days with no charging. This solution works well for those that now find themselves in situations where they can't have propane. Also working on Gasoline heaters. Using small bottles to run the stove. > > Dennis > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Vanagon Mailing List <vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com> On Behalf Of Alistair Bell > Sent: Thursday, September 9, 2021 10:35 PM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: I’m leaving the Dometic propane brotherhood > > I’ve put my time in. I’ve done all I can. I’ve made it work as well as it can. But the recent combustion chamber clog , repeated ( no doubt contaminated propane ) clogging. And I don’t want to pull the fridge while camping again . I’ve done that twice now, just recently and years ago in central bc. > > I’ve just received my new Dometic crx50. With ac power option .
