Subject:Since we're talking about electrical problems...

I noticed a few weeks back that I don't have a driver's side parking light
any more. I figured it was because I had removed the lenses shortly before
that to send them through the dishwasher. I didn't check at the time see if
the parking light was working, I just wanted to maintain the connection and
seals and get rid of accumulated road grime. So, I took them apart and
tested the bulb. Fine. Then I tested the connection--not fine. No voltage.
I went up the wire a little ways and probed through the insulation with
needle probes. Nothing. The passenger side is working fine.

I started to pull the instrument cluster and check the switch, but at
present I have no idea how the two front lights are wired.

Neither of the other marker/parking lights (side rear and tail light) are
working on the drivers side either.

I was going to wait until I was replacing the foil, but three lights out is
too much to wait on.

Any ideas as to how to proceed?

Jim
