I recently get a 1990 tintop.. bringing it home on a 150 miles it runs
quite well.. no vibration, strong engine, pulling straight, good brakes...

once it's home, a full tune up was called for - the usual stuff: oil,
filters, spark plugs, this and that etc..

now here are surprises...

- on the fuel filter there's a label with marker on it reading xxxK miles
and date: 12/01/2007 - 10 year and 60K miles... wow... can you believe that?

- put in a new fuel pump... the old one still has original spade connectors
and the pump body is covered by a layer of wax which they sprayed on at the
factory back then.. woah.. 27 years...

the previous 2 owners must practicing *"if it ain't broke don't fix it"*
fervently...
