Hey jim, I installed a similar type pump in my van, replacing the in tank pump. The one I chose has integral pressure switch so if one wanted to, one could have a replacement faucet without electrical switch. The pump comes on when it senses pressure drop. Just like most rv and boats.

But I have the pump wired thru faucet.

The diaphragm pumps do make more noise than the impeller type pumps. I might try relocating my pump into a less resonating mounting surface.

The only downside is that it’s a bit louder but I’m going deaf anyway so that’s no big deal. (I may insulate the ‘shelf’ that covers the pump to see if that helps.)
