Subject:OIL COOLER FILTER SANDWICH PLATE + THERMOSTAT experiences need
From:Christophe Guilbert

Hi guys.

First , a big thanks for all those guys who helped me with the copper
tubing 3/8" type K. ;-)

I am now concentrating on my secondary oil cooler.

Recently I bought the empi oil cooler filter sandwich plate, AN8 PTFE
stainless braid hose, the empi thermostat and all the expensive fitting
3/8" NPT to AN8 adapter. Since I don't like the EMPI thermostat
"floating and vibrate" adding stress in the oil line and fitting, I
started to look for a filter sandwich plate + thermostat with AN8 outlet .

Sure enough I found on amazon a cheap one ( even less on ebay) like the
EPMAN Oil Cooler Filter Sandwich Plate + Thermostat Adaptor An10
Fittings 3/4-6 UNF
(https://www.amazon.com/EPMAN-Sandwich-Thermostat-Adaptor-Fittings/dp/B01IVKVBO4)

or this one (majesty) for $40 on ebay
(http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?&_from=R40&_trksid=p2255925.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X%20EPMAN%20Oil%20Cooler%20Filter%20Sandwich%20Plate%20%2B%20Thermostat%20Adaptor%20An8%20Fittings.TRS0&_nkw=%20EPMAN%20Oil%20Cooler%20Filter%20Sandwich%20Plate%20%2B%20Thermostat%20Adaptor%20An8%20Fittings).

I have a vanagon camper air-cool 1983, does anyone has a good or bad
experience with them . Any recommendation for a different brand.

Also do they use a standard thermostat in case I need to change it.

Thanks for any advise.

Chris
