​Lights On The Shift Lever for Automatic
There is lighting from below that does a good job of illuminating the
letters in the dark.  To make it easier to see the position of the shift
lever itself I painted a white stripe down the side of the lever.  One hint
if you do this.  Make sure you are on the level and set the hand brake.
Then, when you paint the stripe (mask off with blue tape) move the lever
all the way to the rear.  All of the lever is then exposed to paint the
stripe on it.
