Is anything made in Germany any more?
All so called 'German' parts (in boxes with German brand names and German writing) I have bought recently have been made elsewhere (France, China, Brazil etc.).
Maybe they only make the boxes in Germany?

The vendor is sending a replacement. My point though was about the
inconsistency in size between belts that should be the same (same
manufacturer, same part number). Or do the 10 x 1075 belts come in
different sizes? I would think that 10 x 1075 means 10mm wide by 1075mm
long. While I would expect such inconsistency in third-world sourced (or
even US) parts I expect better quality control from parts manufactured in
Germany. Perhaps these were counterfeit, not actually manufactured by Conti
in Germany.

I checked with my local parts store yesterday to see what they had. They
looked up my van on the computer, came up with a cross reference and pulled
the part for me. I looked at it and the packaging said 10 x 1093. Not
right. Asked for something closer to 1075 and they hunted around and came
back with a belt packaged as 10 x 1080. Close. Then I looked at the belt
and it was stamped 10 x 1093. Wtf.
