I ended up TIG'ing the assembly. Oh boy am I inconsistent, in life and in my welds. But the welds will be ground down a bit to make either a rounded or beveled corner. http://shufti.wordpress.com/2013/08/01/vanagon-bumper-build-part-2/ alistair
