RE: 84 Vanagon with Boston Bob 1.9L engine (2003). I am heading to FL tonight to pick up my '84 from Ron's VW Service in Daytona. Ron had head rebuilt after #1 intake valve dropped two weeks ago and has reinstalled the head. I plan on driving back tomorrow keeping to the back roads as much as possible (US17 to Jacksonville, US 23 to Macon). Plan on keeping engine under 4000 rpm,and trip will take around 7 hours. Any other recommendations? Thank you in advance. John
