  So, if the gas gauge needle is hanging straight down (I mean STRAIGHT
down), is that typically the sender or the gauge that has broken?  When I
resealed all my tank fittings with new grommets, the sender did not appear
damaged and worked but historically, it's only shown a half tank at best
even after filling up at the pump.
