I'm not aware of any elves but we do have yard gnomes and one of them could be involved. I did leave my tools on a pretty low table and some were on the ground in the vicinity of the slave cylinder. All I can say is next time you have to service your clutch slave cylinder and can leave the rear end up on the jack stands over night see what happens. I had my van jacked up high enough that I could easily roll under it on my creeper without getting grease on my belly. And I'm not what you would call slender.........I've got a few 6 packs under my belt. Not a keg, a few 6 packs. And if it is elves or gnomes I'm gonna start leaving my Bentley and tools out all the time along with a few replacement parts and let them have at it................... I wish, Happy Trails and good nite to all, Paul On Sat, Apr 30, 2011 at 6:18 PM, Scott Daniel - Turbovans < scottdaniel@turbovans.com> wrote: > it's at the top, but on the side. > about level with the top of the slave cyl. and the line is close to > horizontal at the top. > > the reservoir appears to be almost 18 inches higher in the van than the top > of the slave.. > > they self-bleed, slowly, I believe. > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Jim Arnott" <jrasite@EONI.COM> > To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> > Sent: Saturday, April 30, 2011 5:53 PM > Subject: Re: How do explain this? > > > Upon rethinking, I maybe the slave bleeder is the highest point at the >> rear.
