The power locks on my 90 Westy automatic went crazy on me all of a sudden.
First they started locking and unlocking continuously, so I immediately took
it to the place that installed my remote locks.  When they removed the
remote locks, my driver and hatch door would not unlock, and the passenger
and side door would not lock.  It is now at Bela's Garage being fixed.  Bela
told me that power lock trouble happens because the vanagon is old, or if
rain gets into the lock.  I don't have a garage or carport, but I didn't
notice any water leaks, either.  I'm wondering if my remote locks had
anything to do with the problem, because I enjoyed my remote locks, and
would like to get a new remote if safe to do so.  Has anyone had trouble
with power locks?
