Some things I'd do differently or better, but it they should hold for a while.

The Jackbombay lift assist kit (search thesamba if curious), is the
C's A. w/o stock spring assist, it is of very little use on last 1/5
of lowering. Even with 90# cartridges. But....

With stock springs now working, I release latch, and top almost raises
itself. This is with his "regular" set of cartridges. 90# cartridges
are too strong if cable/springs functioning and no weight added to top
(canoes, 9 solar panels.... ;)
