Subject:Re: Ethanol "enriched" fuel and '85 Westy

Here in Florida all the fuel has some ethanol mixed in....they say up to 10%.
I've noted no ill effects on my WBX except a drop in fuel economy, from 18-19 to 17. And since the 10% alcohol is only supposed to drop fuel economy 2%, then either it affects the WBX more or part of it is an aging motor.

Is this ethanol added to fuel going to cause problems with my "new" Westy?

Is there anything to be done to mitigate it if it's a problem?

Thanks,
Scott
