So the only thing that rusts worse than vanagons are barbecues.  They
seem to be disposable if you can only cover it during the winter, not
take it inside.

How terrible an idea is it to rustproof it with one of those spray on
rust inhibitors?

Or maybe some sort of cooking oil?
