Vanners, My 87 syncro exhibited the symptom of turning over without starting, Then when I banged on the fuel pump and waited a while it started. Did this twice then I ordered a new fuel pump. Put in the new pump and it doesn't start, just grinds. Any ideas besides being out of gas now? Mike
