My FLAC  (friendly local auto club)  CSAA here in CaliFUNia has the
ability to make a wallet card key from your Vanagon Key.

The manufacturer of the system is a company called AXXESS.  The
plastikey blank number is 43 and it uses the 'A' casette on the key
duplicating machine.  For some of us the first key is 100USD with a
free premium membership for a year thrown in gratis.  For existing
members the service is performed for no charge.

The result is a 'credit card' sized plastic key thingy.  Will open
your door to retrieve your REAL key or get the keycode from the lock
so Steve Sandlin can cut you a new key.
