Subject:Question about pulley-crank end reassembly 2.1
From:Jim Felder

I'm getting ready to put the pulley end back onto my crankshaft in my 2.1
waterboxer. I have the parts that came out, but no notes, and I had hoped
the Bentley would be more specific and helpful than it is.
I have before me:

1. The pulley, of course.
2. The woodruff key with the flat end.
3. a round steel washer with the outer edges clipped into four flats
4. a rubber sealing ring
5. A crankshaft seal
6. the bolt.

Can anyone tell me the preferred reassembly arrangement and order? Bentley
sometimes shows #3 and sometimes only #4, and never any detail about which
goes against the shoulder on the crank and which goes after.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Jim
