These are from www.grainger.com . Select a Grainger part part number search, and type in the part numbers. Grainger has about 50 different switches to choose from. Maybe one for the late vanagon, but I am sure they have several for the early WBX. Try these part numbers: 6X291 6X292 6X293 3XG39 and see the pictures. There are many more, and I have not searched them all.I think the little metal lever on the late vanagon throttle switch,is called a hinge lever switch. Some of these hinge lever switches have the little curve ,as opposed to a straight lever, like the late vanagon. The Grainger prices for these switches are from $2.50 to about $5.50. The throttle switch that is avaliable through vendors, from VW is about $75.The difference I can see between these switches is that a 1 footlong wiring harness needs to be added that has push on connectors. If you cut the connector from the bad switch , it can be added to this new harness. Then just plug this makeshift harness into the main wiring harness. I think at the www.grainger site, you can order the cataloge. A worthwhile effort. This catalogue is about 2000 pages of neet stuff, and it is free.. --------------------------------- Yahoo!
