There's a warning on the archive site that a full search will take
several minutes. Very few browser connections will last "several
minutes" without a time-out.

I flouted caution the first time I searched the archives. Sure
enough, "CGI <some dire warning or other> timeout".

Since then, when I want to search the archives I do it in two or three
year-limited 'chunks'. That seems to tame the time-out monster.
