NO, NO!  Please don't tell people that!  Have you seen the traffic
lately in some of those areas?

Instead, tell them about the constant wind, the sand storms, the
constant battle with dust, having to watch for rattlers stretched out
across the bottom step (yes, it's happened), and all the other
critters that just want to bite or sting.  And the bloodthirsty
plants that snag or impale you if you walk too close, like the well
named, "Cat Claw" bush.

No, people.  She didn't know what she was saying.  The desert is an
awful place.  Please stay away.
