Hi Ken,

My situation required the letter to come from Volkswagen.  That said I
called the local dealer who passed me to another Volkswagen level, seems
about two or three of these, OH you need this department.  From there is
was about 4 weeks until I got a letter for my Vin.  The upside was that
my US Vanagon, qualified for a Canadian recall that included new
injectors, green plastic, and new injector hose, and bulkhead fitting.
 I got the A/C fenderwasher recall too althought it had been done.
