Hello Everyone, Just this afternoon I got the engine out of my '88 Westy, and it's down in the basement. It has one cracked head, but I also needed a winter project. Westy only has 77k on her, but I want it reliable. So I decided to remove the engine and replace the heads, water pump, fuel lines, coolant lines, rebuild the starter and alternator, etc.... My initial plan was to get heads from Boston Bob, because I know that he takes the AMC ones, and does some valve replacement. The only problem is ... well, it's not cheap! What's the general thought, are new heads worth it, or are rebuilds just as good? Ken '88 Westy
