Seems to make a lot of sense. I don't know about the bedliner... I'd be surprised if that has a good sound transmission loss factor. McMaster-Carr sells a vibration damping compound, 69 $ for 5 gal. I was thinking of trying that, but got discouraged after I found out the door insulation was not helping much. --- Terry K <CTONLINE@webtv.net> wrote: > Reinhard, > > Your 100% positvly correct---the road noise is a > problem-- > > I Found that most of the road noise is coming from > the underside of the > Van-- > Especially from the whell wells-- > > I deadened the interior harmonics by loading the > door's and interior > panels with bed liner, and home type > insulation--worked pretty good. > > But the tires under you and in the rear of the Van > seems to permiate the > interior still--- > > WhatI did--and it worked out really well is load > upthe bottom side of > the an with black bed liner-- > > It sure quieted the road noise really good---and it > also serves a dual > purpoe--it slows the corrision from road wash on the > bottom of the Van-- > > I would consider this method if you desire to > eleiminate the road noise. > > Good Luck-- > _______________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
