Subject:Coolant Vapor and Liquid In Exhaust

So...a buddy of mine has a '90 (80k) westy he recently acquired. So
far, he has replaced O2 sensor, full tune, cat converter...
Today the coolant light began to flicker. So, he brought it into the
shop and and was told by the mechanic (vw specialist) that the westy
has something he has never seen. No leaks from the head gasket, leak
down and compression is good, but plenty of coolant is shooting from
the exhaust and coolant pressure test says leak!!

I know the main stream vanagon issues, this one seems different. Any
ideas on diagnosing the issue...

Thanks again,
~nat
