back on the list after a long hiatus.

I was at an auto salvage yard here in Seattle not long ago when I spotted a
1999 VW golf 2.0L engine with 20k on it for a reasonable price.

after thinking about it, I was curious if anyone has tried to put one of
these in a Vanagon (86 and newer) model?

I have taken a look around, and have found some really crazy conversions-
but couldn't find this one. is there a reason why?
