CV joints.  Repack them before a long trip.  If they've already been
repacked fairly recently, have your mechanic verify they're properly
torqued.

Do a quick visual and make sure there's no seepage from the head
gaskets.  If there is, they'll go quickly under the stress of a long
drive.
