Subject:Re: [Syncro] is the Optima really better?

I find the Optima's to be the best. I have had one in my beetle for 5+
years, and it still cranks every time, even in the cold. I seem to find
lately that the regular batteries seem to have a designed
obsolescence.........meaning they wear out before the stated warranty period
so you have to go in and buy another are a prorated
discount...................Happened on 3 cars i have worken on in the last 6
months.

So, for my money it is the Optima.............good warranty, and best part
is if it ever were to leak, it does not make a big hole in your steel
floor.........that is why i use them in all my air cooled vw's!
