About the girlfriend part thanks for the info ;-) Jeff Forgot to tell that it is a carburetted european model ... not the wife but the car. Which reminds me of another girlfriend, but that's different story altogether... Is it Friday yet? Cheers, Jeff -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com]On Behalf Of Michael Lars Olsen Sent: Wednesday, January 14, 2004 12:30 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: unstable engine when cold I have a 1983 1.9 waterboxer vanagon. It is running very unstable when just started. When it's warm theres no problem it then runs very well. When the engine has run for around 3 minutes the problem will stop. I've replaced all sparks and there's no waterproblem (loss of water, overboiling or so). Any ideas ??? Best regards Michael 1983 1.9 wbx Vanagon
