Rainer, Your posts on what "DOESN'T WORK" have been very interesting. Would you have suggestions as to what "DOES WORK"? Let's design a efficient system with the the following Objectives; - Two "true" sealed non-out gassing deep cycle batteries - System must provide a minimum of 110 ah in total (more would be better) - Batteries must fit into the Vanagon battery boxes with minimum modifications - System must be able to be recharged with stock Vanagon 90 amp alternator within 4 hrs of driving - Batteries able to handle daily discharge to a 11.5 volt level - Batteries are both new and identical as to charging characteristics - All components must be readily available for a reasonable cost - Selector switch that allows one to choice which batteries are on line all roads lead to adventure, Larry Chase Email: RoadGuy@RoadHaus.com Web: <http://www.roadhaus.com/> www.RoadHaus.com Cell: 480 620 8966 What: North American Road Trip How: RoadHaus - 1990 White VW Westfalia Syncro Today: Wyoming & the Dakota's
