Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you buy a vanagon
Temp II, bad grounds, and the digifant...

With apologies to Buffalo SpringField...

There's something happening here,
My van is starting to run queer.
Hey there's one just like mine over there,
It runs fine, man it's just not fair.

I think it's time we stopped now, what's that sound?
Why's that blue stuff drippin' down?

It's a field trip for the kids,
Sad for me that the van's on the skids.
They're singin' songs and a' carrying on,
They don't know just how much has gone wrong.

We gotta stop children, there's that sound,
I see more stuff dripping down.

There's better vans being drawn,
I hope they're right where this one is wrong.
But for me I'm not changin' my mind,
Though I'm sure that this rig's had its time.

I think it's time we stopped now, what's that sound?
Always something dripping down.

Van-a-noia strikes deep,
Fluids all starting to seep.
It starts, but you're always afraid,
There'll come a time the man comes and tows her away.

We gotta stop, children, there's that sound,
Now there's brown stuff drippin' down.

Stop, yeah, that's the sound,
When's my Subie commin' 'round?
-o-

Apparently, FWIW was not written as an anti-war song, but after
protests started when a college dance was cancelled.
What a letdown!
