Well, I wound up with a broken suspension. The connection rod for the
sway bar broke down near the nut. Fairly common from what I understand.
I ordered the parts from bus depot, and they're here. I lost one of the
large washers that sandwiches the rubber bushing on the nut-side.  Does
anyone have one they could send my way?
