Hi List,

   I am so happy to have driven my 87 Vanagon yesterday after having it
parked all winter I just want to tell the world. The best thing is it ran
fine . The only thing I wonder about that sit is that first start, it sounds
like it must be rough with all the oil in the pan. When you add oil it goes
right to the pan, unlike my Fox where I am pouring over the engine so there
seems to be no way of pre lubing the pistons.

  I was also thinking with the van being my second car I don't put that many
miles on her and I have not spent a big chunk in a while. I'm sure that big
chunk is coming up however I can own this luxurious van and still be a poor
student. I just drive it very conservatively and save it for those special
occasions.
