Hi,

I've got a few years experience with VWs and general maintenance, but
I've never tackled electrical testing before, other than using a 12V
test light.

Can someone please recommend tools I need to test electrical
components.  I see that Bentley often refers to US1119 testing
equipment.  What is this exactly, and is this the same as a basic
multimeter from the local FLAPs ?

Ideally I'd like to buy one good multimeter that will cover most of my
VW needs..... especially to help troubleshoot a vanagone syndrome /
cold-starting issue.

Any advice would be much appreciated!
