Someone had ideas on how to avoid customs duty when shipping to Canada.

I'm not sure I'm correct but was the solution to set the value at $30 or
less and use USPS instead of Fedex or UPS or was it some other method.

I'm shipping used parts to Canada as a gift and need to find this
information.
Please advise.
