Thanks very much for the information!

I called and they said that the gear broke because the whole unit needed
to be overhauled. They priced the job at $90 per unit  (I have two that
need to be done!).

Does this sound right?  I was hoping I could replace the gear and be
done with it.  I'm not anxious to spend so much money on these things  :/
