Mike,

The cruise control I got is manufactured by Rostra Precision Controls, Inc.
Here is their technical service number 910-277-1828
http://www.rostra.com
http://www.rostra.com/cruise-control.htm

The model is UltraCruise II, I bought it in 1998 so it's a little old now.
I believe that I paid about $250 for the entire system. Again, this system
does not require engine vacuum. It runs completely on 12 volt power. There
were four major different items that needed to be ordered:

- Servomotor & Controller
- Control lever at steering wheel
- Speed sensor that attaches to transaxle
- 10 foot wire extension harnes to bring wires to front control lever

The system took me two days to install. I didn't buy it directly from
Rostra. You might want to ask who their local sales representative is. The
modifications made to the system because of the Vanagon engine being in the
rear of the vehicle are the same modifications they make to the Pontiac
Fiero (rear engine also).

I couldn't find my receipts so I'm not sure who I bought it. It was a
mailorder purchase.

Here are some sites that I found that sell them:

I still have a copy of the O&M manual if you are really interested.

Hope this helps,

Blake
