Hey VW'ers,

I have a question...as I am still exploring the many great vanagon perks.

I have an 85 weekender with the fold-down bench seat.  It seems that I
should be able to pull down the panel below the seat to expose the storage
area without pulling up the bench seat.  I think this because of the 2
small cutouts on the upper margin of the panel, and also there is some sort
of small leverage bar, lock bar or whatever connected to the frame within
the storage area.  However, there are 2 screws on each end of this panel
that makes me think there is no way to do this.

Any input on this is greatly appreciated, pulling up the bench seat to snag
tools, etc is not as easy as it seems it should be.
