anyone interested in a 1980 vanagon L?  i was out of town last week and my
wife was driving the dogs to the lake to swim and the car caught fire.  i am
no mechanic, but the engine looks shot.  two rear side and rear window are
busted out from the fire.  inside is torched up to the front seats.  it is
original yellow with the big sunroof.  would be a great rebuild if someone
wanted the first model year of the vanagon.  i am just north of dallas.
would love to keep it to work on someday but just cannot afford to store it
somewhere.  i took my drivers test in it and asked my wife to marry me in it.
 maybe i'll just take down the fence and stick it in the back yard.  always
had the dream that when it died i would make it into a gazebo type thing and
cut out the floor and install a hot tub!
