A local mechanic installed a G60 in a 90 Westfalia here a few years ago. He took me for a ride on the freeway- 85 in second-not exaggerating. Now it was modified , ported, polished cammed and chipped. Nothing this guy does isnt. It had punch-g-force effect. I wonder how long the trans and cv's lasted? Can it be done? << Subject says it all. I have a chance at a G60 Corrado (wrecked with good engine) and thinking about a conversion for the lumpy '89. Anybody know if this is the same type of block as the inline 4 cylinder engines that are used for vanagon conversions? Mounting angles?>> Mounts the same as the position in the Corrado and other A2 family of sedans. Obviously it is possible. There is one for sale in my Vanagon Cafe classifieds at: http://members.aol.com/bentbtstr8/myhomepage/sale.html I think David Marshall at Fast Forward may offer a mounting kit.
